People always confused about the difference between chemical earthing and conventional earthing. Here we'll talk about it.

 

Comparing to chemical earthing, conventional earthing features:

 

Charcoal and Salt used, results in corroding the metal whereas in chemical earthing highly conductive Backfill compound is used.

Regular maintenance by watering of pit is must to enhance conductivity whereas in chemical earthing no water curing is required. Works on fit & forget system.

Earth resistance value fluctuates whereas in chemical earthing Least fluctuation in Earth resistance value.

Low product life in conventional earthing whereas in chemical earthing product life more than 20 years.

Sometimes fails to provide safe discharge path for fault current, due to corrosion whereas in chemical earthing, always provides safe discharge path to fault / surge / lightening currents.

Not cost effective in the long run whereas in chemical earthing highly cost effective in the long run.

Direct contact with the soil resulting in fast corrosion whereas in chemical earthing not in direct contact with the soil, corrosion free.
